For those of you who like photography, my friend David shares pictures from Ipswich in England. I particularly like the reflection in this one.

It has been a very grey day today. Started out with heavy rain and thunderstorms – most unlike the last few weeks. The day was brightened up by the arrival of The Schooner Trinovante. She has been here before but it was good to see her on a day like this.

  1. What a coincidence! I live quite close to the town. Used to keep a boat at the quay before it became a mariner. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

    1. Wow. I was there for a visit last September. David lives in a building overlooking the port. He has a ton of photos is I thought I’d spread it around.

      1. Its changed a lot. It used to be full of fishing boats and bars. Not over fond of the marina culture!

  3. I like the reflection, too…peaceful, serene, almost like looking in a mirror or a child’s drawing.

  4. Quite a capture. One of those photos that tell complete stories. You look at it once and you can see lives and lifestyles, culture and economics, etc, in it without even having to see a single person. It is amazing.

    1. I had to go back and look at it again Peter to see what you mean. I know the area very well, through David’s pictures, emails and a visit. You’re right, you can tell a lot just from the picture. Thanks!
