This started with John but now seems to have a life of it’s own. This is a great example of Dan’s (not me, the other Dan) mind at work. It’s why I love his blog.

conserve for war 1943 posterIt’s nice to be reminded from time to time that our plight in this world , for better or worse , is most likely shared by plenty of others .There’s comfort , somehow , in that . 1. My husband is going to the grocery store this afternoon, and he’ll may a few missteps. But, I don’t care. Why? Because it means I don’t have to go and the thrill of grocery shopping has been gone for quite a few years. So, we have an agreement – he goes and I keep quiet. Works pretty well except when he forgets something I really had a hankering for. :-)

  2. I do love Mark Twain’s quotes. Back in the 80’s i had a Psych professor who said “Misery doesn’t love company. (The last thing a miserable person wants to be around is a happy person.) Misery loves miserable company.” So true. Hugs.

  3. My brother does groceries, cooks but wife cleans up. Makes teamwork and Rich says he sticks to his menu but makes sure he throws in ice cream for Susan. :)

    1. My best friend has that same arrangement. I can cook, but not as well as my wife.
