“Aw, she’s sweet, where’d you get her, Hallmark?”

This is my first attempt at Linda’s One Line Theme. I hope I got this right.

I heard this from a coffee shop clerk after a coworker offered to carry some stuff back to the office.

  1. I can’t stop imagining a slightly reworked version of this as a really bad pickup line. Lol!

  3. Seems like a good one to me. Sounds like it would be a good ‘hook’ as the opening line of a novel.

    1. I don’t think I have a novel in my future but it does have that “grab” appeal. Thanks

  4. This COULD be a good thing. But let’s not forget that Hallmarks are so pungent with scented-candle smell and assorted knick-knacks that it’s not always a compliment. #Ha That said, this is a good first entry, Dan! And it enables you to fill the Wednesday gap. You’ll now have a solid block in the middle of every week, and have four posts a week, minimum. I need to step up my production, so … tipping my hat to you, sir!

    1. I don’t know if this will be a regular thing Paul. Three posts a week suits me and my schedule pretty well. Plus, I still have that pesky, er, um I mean lovely editor to worry about. I don’t want to be guilty of editor-overload.

  7. It’s a great line, Dan. Perfect for a dialogue in a novel…
These lines sound so much better when said by real people.
That’s a fun theme, by the way. Enjoy!
