Today is Memorial Day in the States. We set this day as a time to honor those who have died in service to our country. I thought I’d just share a few photos from one of my walks with Maddie. We normally walk past a small memorial in Veterans Park. I also included a few photos from prior years. There’s also a 21-second video of the flag waving in the breeze.
I hope you all enjoy this day.
Rainy, windy day.

We walk past/through this park most every week.
It’s hard to get good photos of a waving flag.

Your photos are worth a thousand words Dan. Beautiful tribute to our fallen heroes. The video was the crowning touch. Whenever I see our flag proudly waving, I always get a little catch in my throat and wet eyes!!

Dan, I am late to respond but really liked the solemn and respectful tone shown here. It is definitely important to honor those who gave their lives to war, service to their country and any skirmishes around the world not declared wars. ⭐ 🇺🇸
Happy Memorial Day to you, Dan. I’m working on my blog posts today so you’ll see some content very soon.

On this day I always remember our trip to Normandy some years back and standing on Omaha Beach… a very somber sight.

Beautiful tribute Dan! The flags were all limp here on Monday so no new images of flags for me this past week-end.
