I don’t normally post on Tuesdays, but today is special. Last week, I tried adding ‘Curious’ as a upcoming prompt for Linda Hill’s Just Jot January series. Linda pointed out that she already had ‘curiosity’ and could not accept my suggestion.
That set off a small chain-reaction which will become clear on Monday, when I publish the post for the prompt that was eventually accepted.
I was going to ignore the ‘curiosity’ prompt, but I was curious about Alex’s condition and discovered that ‘curiosity’ was Pam’s word. I’m not sure whether to growl at her for taking my word, or take comfort in knowing that great minds think alike.
I’ll go with the great minds thing. She’s too nice to growl at, even though she’s probably snickering for taking the spot in the list.
The gallery includes a couple photos of Faith’s curious boys and a comic that I think Mary posted on Facebook. This post is part of Just Jot it January by Linda G. Hill.
I like it when minds think alike. It makes us all stronger. Cats are interesting and dominating creatures. Currently on a cat break for now. Had them for …a long time.

Since first having a cat, our longest break was about a day.

As a cat lover, I had to laugh out loud at the cat on Faith’s leg.

He’s such a pest, John. He loves to go out and nibble on the grass, but there was 7″ of snow. She finally let him out and he was all “pick me up and take me back in side, pleeeeeeease.”

Ha ha ha. i can just imagine.

The look he gave me indicated that the lack of grass was also my fault.

Of course, it was your fault. Cats have the blame game down pat. 😼

Cute pictures from the cats, Dan. I love the meme, so true!!

Thanks GP – Yeah, I wouldn’t be expecting much else from the cats.

That meme absolutely nailed cat behaviour. Trying to stretch on the floor is another challenge … unless you really like cat butt in your face.

The black and white cat does yoga with our daughter. He often mimicks her moves. When I’m staying there, he lays on top of me, steals my food and knocks all my stuff on the floor. But, we’re buds, I really do love him.

We complain bitterly about them and we then we cater to their every need! I miss my cats. Oh and I am not snickering . . . exactly. I like the ‘great minds’.

Hee hee – you’re entitled to at least a grin, Pam, but I’ll stick with great minds.

I’m curious if Uncle Dan left a bag of chips on the coffee table for the two knuckleheads to wrestle with…or if you left the chips at home.
I distinctly remember the cat meme, but not sure if I posted it. There are so many…but I could see Gibbs sitting on top of me, yowling for my deadness to get up and feed him. He’s a knucklehead too.

By the way, I am not Anonymous. Stupid phone.

I’m not sure it was you. If the cat had been pushing its empty bowl up to your head, I would have known it was you for sure. Those two are fun to spend time with, as long as you’re not planning to eat or sleep.

Still laughing! That cartoon cracked me up, especially since it’s soooo true. The putty cats are definitely curious. I LOVE the “bookcase”. Perfect. Maybe you need to make a Mt. Maddie for the cat Dan! Lol.

The best Mt Kitty was when we were moving her to a new apartment. We leaned the mattress against the wall so we could disassemble the bed. He climbed up onto the top edge of the mattress and went to sleep. I guess the moral of the story is, try to die with food in your pocket.

I like the cat finding you dead cartoon. I am by nature curious, but even if I was a cat I like to think that I’d not sit on a dead human being. It’s a curiously interesting question for me to ponder.

I’m hoping not to test that theory anytime in the near future.

The cat would only sit on your dead body until it cooled. Then, not.

Then it might start checking to see if I taste like chicken.

I told Mom once that if she died and I didn’t find her in time, her cat would totally eat her. She said she hoped so. She didn’t want the cat to go hungry, and she (Mom) wouldn’t be in her body, so….

The poster is a riot. The black and white cat is my favorite–looks like he is blocking the door, and doing a mighty fine job of it. I don’t get people who don’t like cats. What’s not to love?!

They are quite the characters. Moncton (the tuxedo) is a riot.

I knew his name started with an ‘M’ but I couldn’t remember it. I love the smudge on his chin. Teemu’s was by his nose.

She found him in Moncton, Canada while on vacation.

Great cat photos and excellent meme. Totally cat truth.
Now I’m curious about Monday.
But then, I enjoy being curious.

Is that MiMi trying to open the door? At least she understands how the door works and where the lock is located. I like that. Smart cat.

That’s Faith’s cat, Moncton. He’s a big boy, and I think he can turn the knob. Our first cat could open the door. We had to keep it (or the storm door) locked if we wanted him to stay in.
