That Went Well – #1LinerWeds

Our daughter Faith visited on Sunday. When she texted to let me know she was on her way,I asked her if she wanted to walk with me and Maddie before leaving for our hike. She loves Maddie and agreed. As we got started, Maddie was very excited to have Faith walking her. Faith handed me her phone and asked:

“Can you get a picture of me with Maddie?”

Simple enough request, wouldn’t you say?

Maddie was happy to see Faith.

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s fun weekly series One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner, I’d encourage you to join in on the fun. You can follow this link to participate and to see the one-liners from the other participants.

  1. Typical Irish Setter exuberance! We used to have an Irish Setter when my oldest son was born. When he was just learning to walk and very unsteady, Murph (the dog) would knock him over with his wagging tail!

  2. I’m laughing and saying “Awwwww” at the same time. So glad you kept clicking Dan, wouldn’t have wanted to miss this. You captured the loving bond between Maddie and Faith beautifully! Clearly, as far as Maddie was concerned, you were only the cameraman!! These kinds of spontaneous pictures are precious.

Perhaps Maddie would like you to make a collage of these so she can give it to Faith for Christmas!

  3. My middle daughter tries to take selfies of her and Puppy Cody whenever she comes to visit, and the result is pretty much the same as for Faith and Maddie. Silly dogs just don’t know how to pose properly, especially when “long lost” people come back to visit. (In our case, “long lost” could mean it’s been more than a whole day!)

  4. Ha! I know exactly what that’s like. While I was in France and we were walking the dogs (usually four walks a day in various combinations of dogs, two walks each), I’d see something to photograph, but as soon as I got down with my phone, there were the dogs. Scenes weren’t a problem, but all those mushrooms down at ground level were. :-)

  5. I can’t imagine anyone not loving Maddie. I also imagine her relationship with Faith is special. Dogs get so excited when extended family comes around – like part of the pack has finally come home.
