Today’s Just Jot January prompt from Ritu through Linda unites two of the published authors I follow in a fun prompt:
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 14th, 2020, is “publish.” Use the word “publish” any way you’d like. Enjoy!
While I am not a published author, blogging in this community has brought me close to several authors, and I have enjoyed that experience very much. I appreciate what I have learned about writing and the writing process through what these remarkable people have shared. I’d start a list, but I’d forget someone – I think they know who they are.

Books have been mentioned or features many times on this blog. I am happy to know some of the authors, and some of the people and stories that were written about.
I have the same book on Mythology… I have yet to read it cover to cover. I poke around it in rather read it.
I have a few of Teagan’s books, and one of John’s. They’re on my favorites list too.

That Mythology book is essential to understanding classic poetry. That’s what I was told when I took a poetry course and had to read that book.
If I mentioned all my favorites, this would be a very long post. If I included bloggers, photographer and poets, we’d be here forever.

I also know a lot of these authors, Dan. Some great books here.

Thanks Robbie. I had your book shipped to my friend in England from Amazon UK, so I didn’t have a picture or it would have been in here.

We do. As soon as I saw the prompt I wanted to point that out.

I love it! I wouldn’t have got the courage, or acquired the knowledge of how to publish without the help of a lot of those very authors. 🙂

Another of the joys of the internet. I know and have met in person some excellent authors as well. Love the cat photo. :-)

Some I also follow and some I’ve read. You’re braver than I, I wouldn’t dare try to name names or even books!! With my memory, I’d probably forget to mention my favorites!

Thanks GP. I couldn’t try to name names. I settled for books I’ve already used. It’s hard.

I didn’t realize you made the book ends, Dan. I really like the wood grain.

Thanks Sandi. They were cut from a burl that I found at a local wood working supply store.

Glad to see Twilight Zone make the list! Sure, it’s not a book, but the scripts were usually so well-written that they certainly qualify as literature.
