Last week, I spend a few days taking care of our daughter’s cat. Many of you recognize Preston from the previous times I watched the little fluff. I think he worries that I won’t remember the routine.

My treats and my food are in that drawer.
This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s fun weekly series One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner, or if you would like to join in on the fun, you can follow this link to participate and to see the one-liners from the other participants.

Hi Dan – you’re good to/for each other … and I love the plants coming into their blossoming new year … good for you – cheers Hilary

Thanks Hilary. This time of year, I tend to overdo the blossoms, but they will be gone so soon. Preston is my buddy. It’s good male bonding.

Some beautiful blossoms happening there! I look forward to more pictures of them, especially on the apple tree. As for that dandelion, I couldn’t help laughing though usually that’s not my reaction to the blasted things.

Thanks Maureen. The blossoms are so pretty. I’m afraid they will dominate the gallery for a while. Maybe, if we have enough dandelions, the bunnies will leave the tulips alone. I know…I know.

Cats. They don’t take incompetence lightly. Wonderful bunny shot, you even got the cottontail. Your blooms are lovely and a good month ahead of ours….

Preston likes to make sure I know what I’m doing and when I’m supposed to be doing it. Some of the blossoms are fading, as the second wave comes to life.

Preston is as handsome as ever. Definitely one large fluff ball! You should take him with you on your door excursions. He’d provide you with better directions than GPS!
Your blossoming plants are just beautiful. Love the shot of the bee. Maddie looks like she wants to play in that puddle. Nice view of Old Glory. Always a pleasure/privilege to see.
By the looks of Faith’s fridge, she pays you well to cat sit Preston!

Faith does see to my tastes when I’m there. I head over in the afternoon and spend the night with that fluff. He’s fun to be around.
Maddie likes to stand in that puddle. I don’t know why. I think she looks good there, but…
Looks like another wet day for us, Ginger. I hope you’re having a good week.

Good thing Maddie doesn’t get to vote on you leaving and taking care of Preston. :-) I think those little purple flowers are Ajuga. Happy week – good weather.

I’m not sure how that vote would go, Judy, These guys. Seem to enjoy a vacation from me ;)
We know the flowers as Bugle Weed, but I think you have the technical name for it. Actually, I typically call them “those little blue flowers” as they look blue to me. All I know is, when they’re blooming, we don’t mow those areas. The bees love them.

When Spring finally blooms, it’s always good to see – I don’t think you can overdo that, Dan!

Thanks GP! The lilacs will be out in full force pretty soon. Get ready.

Preston, I hope Dan gave you a treat for showing him around the kitchen! You have some really pretty flowers there. I have some weed on my lawn that has those little seed puffs. Trying to pull them up and contain the seeds is quite ridiculous, but I never stop trying.

Preston got his treats. And he was fed before I sat back down at my laptop. I’m sure he was worried about me sitting too long. We don’t bother trying to remove those weeds. The bunnies take care of them.

Preston has a wonderful grandpa in you, Dan. And the photo evidence of Spring is beautiful. Thank you for sharing both. 😊

Thanks Gwen. It’s a nice bit of male bonding. We tend to over eat, lounge around and snack ;-)
Spring is out in full force here. I just can’t help myself.

I know that look! Our Mia has a tiny tummy and so I feed her four small “meals” a day. Every night — every single night! — she follows me to my room at bedtime to make sure I don’t forget her late night snack. Have I ever forgotten it? Nope, but she’s not leaving it to chance. 😆

It’s the same with Preston. If you give him too much, he will eat and throw up. So he gets several small meals. He’s worried that I might lose track of the count.

Dan, so nice to see Spring blossoming. Color therapy for me in SoCal. We do have sunshine & warmer seasonal weather though. And no snow! I’m on countdown to publish the book—May 11th is Amazon launch day. Wish I had more techy brains for computer programs like you. Enjoy your CT spring beginning. 📚🎶 Christine

That’s very good news, Christine. I am on a countdown, but no firm date as yet. Let me know if I can help with the launch.

Thanks, Dan. Is your book technical? Can’t seem to recall. Tell us about it again—the process. I would be nice to have a simple reblog when the book goes live. Looking at all the expensive options for book marketing, I’ve opted to do it on my own. I’m learning as fast as I can. It’s not for the faint-hearted! 📚🎶 Christine

My book is fiction. I will be doing “marketing” on my own as well. Shoot me an email – I think you have my email but you can always use nofacilities at gmail dot com. I’m happy to share what little I do know.

Awesome! Yes, I have our emails from June 1st & 2nd, 2016. I featured your Tobacco Farm photo for a header. It’s still my favorite photo! Any share of what you know, and any marketing you want to have done, I’m on the help list for you. I’ll email you. 📚🎶 Christine

Thanks John. We are stuck in a pattern of cold wet days, but I think it ends tomorrow. Faith does know how to keep me happy while watching the fluff.
