The tomato slices were ordered instead of hash browns to make the whole meal healthy.

Eat Healthy

Just as a reminder, Thursday Doors will not be published tomorrow. Enjoy the break.

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s fun weekly series One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner, or if you would like to join in on the fun, you can follow this link to participate and to see the one-liners from the other participants.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  5. The most beautiful picture here is that breakfast. I think I see a corner of the toast that wants to be dipped in that yolk. Nice try with the tomatoes.

    1. Yes, rye toast about to be dipped. I’m still saying ‘healthy’ :-)

  7. A day with bacon is a good day. I saw Halloween candy out at a store last week and just shook my head. Hope you’re having a good visit.

    1. I was surprised to see the Halloween candy, but they have to get it out so they can put the Christmas decorations out “on time.”

  8. Sure Dan, those tomatoes make all the difference in the world! Lol!

Halloween candy out here too. Christmas goods can’t be far behind!

So happy to see MiMi! Doesn’t she look content and relaxed. And MuMu looking cute as a button.

The bunny taking a nap is just too cute.

Beautiful double Rose of Sharon, and just look at all those buds! Yes, the bees are in Heaven!

You managed to get a great photo of the flag waving. Looking at the rest of the picture, it doesn’t look like any air is moving at all. But Old Glory tells us something quite different.

Enjoy some time off…hopefully with more reasonable temperatures and lots of fun.

    1. Those tomatoes do the trick, Ginger. They even made the bacon healthy ;-)

MiMi and MuMu know how to relax. They are both getting up there in years, they need their rest. I’m not sure how old the bunny is, but a nap is always a good thing.

      I hope you’re having a nice cool(er) week.

  12. Down south of you Rose of Sharon seems to be in everyone’s yard. It’s a plant that isn’t seen out west, however. I miss seeing clover in the yards here. It’s abundant west of the Mississippi.

    1. We see a lot of Rose of Sharon plants up here. They seem to be hearty. They don’t seem to mind the cold, but they don’t like the hot and dry conditions we’ve been having. We’ve had to water them this summer.

  13. Sleeping bunny is so cute. Halloween candy in August?! I expect Christmas decorations will be coming up next. Unreal.

    1. Ho ho ho – I’m guessing those decorations will be out right after Labor Day, Lois. Time to get a new white stick reindeer for your lawn.

  15. MiMi is such a pretty kitty. She looks much like our cat, Amanda, that we had for almost nineteen years. Great photos, Dan. And breakfast looks yummy! Isn’t it crazy to think that folks used to believe tomatoes were poison?

    1. MiMi and MuMu are 17, so they focus on being comfortable while they relax. I do enjoy tomatoes with eggs. Tomatoes were poison, and lobster were only fed to poor people. Chat we didn’t know…

    1. I think the extended benefits of the tomato would cover the hash browns, John. Home grown tomatoes, sliced onto sourdough toast is my favorite breakfast item.

  21. No Halloween candy out here and I’m amazed by that. We were just talking about it yesterday, wondering what was up with Target & Kroger. It’s not like them to miss the opportunity to foist a holiday on their customers.
