Once again, I’m playing with Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. This week, Cee has us looking at nature.
“This week our topic is celebrating Nature. Have fun.”
As you can imagine, if you follow this blog, I have a lot of photos, I’m sorry, fotos to choose from.
A downed tree. Nature is allowed to take its course here.
The sun is low enough to shine under the leaf.
We had a short strong storm that left a few leaves in interesting places.
The squirrel living in our firewood. A.K.A. wack-a-mom.
“I’m up on the tight wire One side’s ice and one is fire It’s a circus game with you and me.”–Leon Russell
The sky looked like it was on fire as I approached Great River Park
Stopping at Great River Park for a snack
It’s the best I could do to get River’s bunny.
The runoff pond from the highway rolls down to the river.
This is the male, looking for food in the river? It’s hard to know. We stayed for a long time, hoping to see them move.
A little turn please. OK. Your bunny-butt is cute, but Rivergirl wants to see your face.
It’s been warming up in the afternoons, but we still have a lot of ice on our walk.
I’m not sure where these came from, but they were stuck in the ice
I love they way they hold the peanuts like an ice cream cone.
This time next week, I probably won’t be outside for the sunset
We are still having windy days, but this is always a good sight,

Nature certainly abounds here today! The fire sky, the eagle and the squirrel enjoying his peanut are outstanding photos. I also like the leaf where the sun is shining under it, making the raindrops look like diamonds!
Old Glory flying proud and free is always a welcome and beautiful sight.
Happy Monday Dan with a great week to follow.

Thanks Ginger. It was hard to stop adding photos to the gallery. Nature is amazing. I love seeing the flag blowing in the wind. A picture of strength.
I hope you have a wonderful week.

These are wonderful. I know I won’t say this in a few months, but I really love that downed tree in the snow. My favorite, though, is the runoff pond with the bare trees; it reminds me of the empty lots of my childhood and what great muddy times were to be had there. Thanks for the good start to the week!

I’m guessing those empty lots were places you were not supposed to play. Kinda like the creek behind our house. I hope your week continues to go well.

Out of all those photos, I think I like the one of the runoff pond the best. I know, you’d think it would be the brilliant sunset, but it isn’t for some reason.

I like that one, too. So does Maureen (Oddment) maybe you played in the mud when you were a kid, too.

Yep, I was one of those kids making mud pie.

Wonderful gallery. I especially liked the second one of the leaf with the droplets of water in the rays of the sun. Gorgeous.

I’m glad you like that one. Our dog was always drawing me to leaves on the ground. I have to find them on my own now, but I do like them a lot.

Nice photo of the bald eagle, Dan, but trying not to think about the white stuff just yet. After 3 days of rain, I want to see sun and bunnies!
Hope you’re having a good start to the week.

I am always amazed at how much wildlife we have inside our cities. The natural world is right there in front of us and most of the time we don’t even know it. I’m not sure which of the leaf pictures I like best but I’m probably leaning towards the one stuck in the ice. Such an abundance of choices. I love it.

There is a lot out there worth stopping to look at, Pam. I’ll be looking for those leaves on my own this year, but I’ll do my best to find good ones.
