Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is moving into a region that will be difficult for me. She’s focusing on colors, and I am partially colorblind. This week’s theme is “Pink Lemonade Color” and I have to say, it’s not a good one for me. I joke that I oculd get by with the Crayola box of eight crayons. Red is OK, but if it fades toward pink, I’m not so sure.
The pictures in my gallery are once that had the word ‘pink’ associated with them. I’m not sure the sunrise/sunset photos include any pink, but I hope they do.
Short days mean I get to see some sunsets as soon as I get home.
The white flowers have red (pink?) centers
Officially, this is a Beauty of Moscow Lilac. It starts out pink (I’m told) and gradually turns white.

For someone who isn’t sure of pink, you got some good ones! I especially liked MiMi’s contribution; she did that deliberately, no doubt, knowing some day you would want a photo of a pink tongue. That pink granite building is an imposing entrance to the city.

Most of these had the word pink in the description so they were easy to find. At the time, I might have asked my wife if I was right. The sun shots, I guessed, but there’s often some pink. Thanks.

My husband’s uncle was color blind — red was green and green was red. He certainly had trouble with traffic lights! LOL But he said once he figured out how to tell which light was ON, he was fine. My poor husband can’t tell orange from pink from red. I just ignore whatever he says and go with it… LOL Life’s too short to argue about colors, unless it’s going to be the entire outside of our home!

I had an uncle with that problem. He solved it the same way, until he drove to Ohio where the traffic lights were mounted horizontally. I used to tell people our house was orange (it was beige). Now it’s gray. I’m good with gray.

Hi Dan – Hippo pink, and dustbin pink … I love those colours … but nature gives us the best … this year we’ve had lots of pink clouds too – great photos – cheers Hilary

For someone who is partially color blind, you did an outstanding job with today’s challenge!
You know without a doubt my favorite is MiMi’s pink tongue! The trash receptacle is clever.
Flowers and flamingos and sunsets are gorgeous.
Happy Monday Dan. Hope this will be an extra productive week for you. Good grief, is that December knocking on our doors?! 😵💫

I searched on “pink” and posted what came up. I couldn’t post the ones of Maddie with her pink toy. I tried, but…

You are working around your perception limitations just fine. The perception disabilities that worry me are the ones who cannot or will not realize their perception is limited. The ones that cannot see empathy, or science, or poverty, pollution, or the violation of other genders and ethnicities rights.

I try to see all that and more, John. Color doesn’t matter much.

I am going to call your sunsets “pinky orange,” because who doesn’t love one in any color? My favorite, though, is MiMi’s (or is it MuMu’s) pink nose and tongue. For obvious reasons. ;-)
Have a great day, Dan.

Thanks Mary. That’s MiMi and she agrees. Pinky orange works for me.

You did well with “pink” in spite of not being able to see it. I love the sunsets/sunrises especially. And the cute little pink tongue.

I’ll start tagging my photos with colors (at least the hard ones). I usually ask my wife.

Thanks Jan. I took a chance with the sky shots. I see red in some so I figured pink was nearby.

Pink is a tricky color for me also, Dan. I describe it as the color of any formerly red item after I accidentally wash it in hot water…which I have done twice. You’d think once would be enough? Pink Flamingoes are always a safe way to represent Pink!
LikeLiked by 1 person
I tossed a new red team tee shirt in the wash. I made a lot of things pink. I think I only did it once.

I’m not a big fan of the color, pink. I’ve been told I look good in the color, yet when I look in a mirror, I don’t like what I see. I admit, most sunrises and sunsets would suffer without the pales red. Still, it doesn’t do a thing for me.

If you don’t feel good wearing a color, I’m guessing that affects your appearance.

Love the photos, Dan, especially the kitty :) Hubby is partially colorblind, as well. He can’t tell red from green and uses the order of the traffic lights as a means of judging rather than the color. Let’s hope they never change them!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Changing that order would cause a lot of accidents, Jacquie :)

Thanks for thinking pink – and capturing so many examples. Who knew there were pink trashcans? I mostly like pink, I think. But then there’s PeptoBismol – my mother’s go to remedy for EVERYTHING. Ugh. The sight of it being poured into a spoon was enough to make me throw up or get well in a hurry!!! :D

HI Dan, I didn’t know you were partially colour blind. Pink is one of my favourite colours, together with orange and yellow. I want to start joining in these photograph challenges next year.

Cee’s challenges are fun, Robbie. I joined this one, “for the summer” when I was too busy to write a post on Sundays. I really enjoy it, and I enjoy starting the week with a little less stress.
Your three favorite colors (pink, orange and yellow) blend together for me along with red. Yellow tends to pop out, but I’m hard pressed to distinguish between pink and orange unless the color covers a lot of space. I guessed that there was pink in the sunrises and sunsets because I saw red.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, pink, orange and red do form part of many sunsets if there is some cloud.
