Book Three in the Dreamer’s Alliance Series. Available now.

If you’ve been following the production of The Dreamer’s Alliance series of novels, you might have noticed that I like to announce new books on One Liner Wednesday.

“When Evil Chooses You” is now available on Amazon in Paperback and for Kindle.”

That’s my one-liner, but that’s not all.

All three books have been reformatted to make the paperback versions a little easier to read.

Oooh, but that’s not all.

For those people who aren’t entirely comfortable with Amazon, all three paperbacks are also available on Lulu in their online bookstore (search by title or visit my page below).

Wait, there’s still more.

All three paperback books have been reduced (a bit) in price, and the Kindle versions are also at a new, albeit temporary, lower price. In fact, all three Kindle versions can be purchased for under $10 US.

I’m not going to do an elaborate launch tour at this time, for a couple reasons. 1) Although this release represents the end of three years’ worth of writing and planning, the books have been released during a six-month period. “The Evil You Choose” is still sitting in many TBR piles. Talking about “When Evil Chooses You” would almost certainly reveal some spoilers. 2) The holiday season is upon us, and people are busy.

So, why not wait and release this in say, February?

Again, a couple reasons. 1) Some people have read books one and two and have told me they are eager to read book three. 2) Some people don’t want to start reading “Knuckleheads” until they know they can read all three books. I believe they call themselves binge-readers. 3) (OK, a few reasons, not a couple) As I mentioned above, I’ve been working on these books for three years. I’m ready to see them in the market as a set.

So, whether you’ve been waiting for this book, or you’re a binge-reader, or you’re looking to buy three books for a low price (remember those holidays are upon us), The Dreamer’s Alliance series is available.

I’m almost done. Below, you will find the trailer for “When Evil Chooses You” – I tried not to include spoilers in it for those who haven’t read “The Evil You Choose,” but it is a sequel, so viewer beware. There is an updated version of the promo block that is usually at the bottom of my blog posts. All the links you need are in there. By the way, that promo is a reusable block. When I changed it for this post, it changed in every post it has ever been included in. Pretty cool feature WordPress gave us.

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s fun weekly series One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner, or if you would like to join in on the fun, you can follow this link to participate and to see the one-liners from the other participants.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  1. Congratulations, Dan. I just bought your third book. Now I have to read the second one before that. It’s next on the TBR pile. I’m finishing Teagan’s series, Dead of Winter, half-way through Journey 13. One more, Journey 14 to go. Between you and Teagan’s fantasy books, I’ve grown to love reading the new genre. 📚🎶 Christine

    1. I read this earlier, Christine. What a wonderful comment to wake up to. Thank you so much. I hope you enjoy both books, and I wish you all the best with your writing.

      1. Thanks, Dan. I’m looking forward to reading both of your books. My book sequel is coming along, a third of it written during a modified NaNoWriMo. Happy about that. Have a successful launch with your new book 3. 📚🎶 Christine

        1. That’s great news, Christine. November is too busy around here to write very much (with winter knocking), but I love to hear about the success people have with NaNoWriMo.

          1. It’s kind of a push to get ahead in writing, no matter how many words. I’m a slow, edit as you go, writer. Winter is knocking in CA too, but no snow to contend with. 📚🎶 Christine

  4. Congratulations! Releasing three books is a huge TADA for a writer — that’s a LOT of work, and it must have been excruciating for MuMu. Or is it MiMi? Which one hovers over you and checks your work? The photo of the squirrel Ring camera was a good one to start the day, but of course I love the seasonal trestle pictures.

    1. My writing was a challenge for MuMu. I think she always felt I had invaded the space beneath her shelf. Moving these from the “I think I’m done with this” pile to the “Now I’m done with it” pile was more work than I ever imagined, but they are all out there. Thanks for the comment.

      1. Ah, it was MuMu. Thanks! I will try to remember. She did always have a look as though you’d just split an infinitive.

  5. Congratulations on book #3. I hope you’re feeling proud of yourself….you earned it.

The shots of the squirrel in his tree house are too cute. At least you now know where to leave his peanut delivery!

Yep, that’s one frozen little bird bath. Unless we can provide them with running water, it’s hard to have water for them in these temperatures.

I think the birds on the pole lines are discussing where they can roost temporarily if their pole is removed and a new one installed.

    Happy Hump Day!

    1. Thanks Ginger. We normally take the bird baths in during the winter. This years, we decided to try keeping some little ones filled. I wasn’t sure it would work, but after the large one thawed yesterday, I saw a squirrel drinking out of it. I think they appreciate having water, so we’re going to try and keep them accessible.

I think you’re right about the birds on the wire. If they’re familiar with Alfred Hitchcock, those line workers might be in trouble. We’ve seen them putting the poles in, but I don’t know how they move everything from A to B.

I am happy to have these three books out there. I have others to write, but this was such a daunting task. I’m glad to be done for a bit. Oh, marketing, well, maybe ‘done’ isn’t the word I Was looking for.

Over the hump and heading straight for the weekend. I hope you have a great rest of the week.

  6. Congrats, Dan! Your reasoning with the merchandising for your book sounds quite logical. I have to admit, I’m still reading your first book due to the season and past responsibilities. Hopefully one day I’ll get my act together!! (Wishful thinking?)

    1. That sounds reasonable, GP. I’ll try not to spoil the experience. These books don’t get better with age, but they don’t go bad sitting on the shelf. Whichever/whenever you read, I hope you enjoy them.

  7. Yay and congrats, Dan! What a relief huh? I’m sure everyone will love this last installment. I feel ya little squirrel. Who wants to go out in those temps? I’m surprised it doesn’t have a delivery shelf just outside the hole. Those shots are prefect. 😁

In my experience, early to mid December is the better time to publish a new book.
I’ve been impressed with the complexity you’ve built into the Grayson Dyer character. In early bits that you shared with me, he went from almost background to something truly intriguing. Wishing you huge success. Big hugs.

    1. Thanks Teagan. Today was the best day for a few reasons. As for Grayson, he grew from a shadowy figure to having a starring role. You gave him a perfect name – thanks for that.
