Before I get to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, I want to express a little gratitude. Yesterday, some WordPress gremlin snuck into my pending post and disabled all the links in the Thursday Doors Recap. The links were functional when I updated the page (I tested a few). Maureen, from Oddments, alerted me to the problem early enough to fix the problem before most people visited. Thanks!

Now for the challenge. Cee has challenged us to share photos from behind:

“This week our topic is Back of one Any Item. Be creative and have fun with this challenge.”

When I took pictures for last week’s post, I got photos of the front and back (and side, that’s next). And, I’ve found some in the library.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  1. You’re welcome! That photo of the servers’ innards sure shows how many gremlins there might be. That Orthodox church makes its statement from all angles, doesn’t it? What a beauty. It was fun to have that back door image for Patsey’s as I read your books.

    1. Imagine rows and rows of server racks (more fully populated than that one) in windowless buildings across the country and you’ll quickly lose count of the number of potential gremlins. It was fun looking fr the back of things.

The door to Patsey’s is my favorite.

  2. All great photos, Dan, but Maddie on her deck sure made me smile. :-) Hope you have an indoor project if you’re having the rain we are.

    1. My next project is repairing a storm door. It’s under a porch roof, but I think it’s going to have to wait. I have so many pictures of the back of Maddie sleeping (on me) it was hard to choose.

Maddie wins, but bunny butt is a close second. The back of the Orthodox Church and the WWI Memorial are special. All in all a good collection of the backside of life.

Not sure we’ll ever dry out here. The ground squishes and everything above is dripping. Not raining right now, but no sunshine either.

Hope today is the start of a good week for you.

    1. This will be a good week, Ginger, if it stops raining. Not sure when that’s going to happen. The weather service said, “expect up to 0.2″ of rain today.” We’ve already had 0.6″.

Maddie always stole the show. Apparently, she still can. We’ve got two new baby bunny butts running around out there. They are adorable. I hope they have a dry place for the next few days.

I hope you have a nice week.

  6. There are many WP updates happening now and through the end of the month. Be prepared for more craziness. 😂

    1. I will keep an eye on things. This is the first time a post changed after I scheduled it. It was an easy fix, since the table is prepared in a spreadsheet and pasted in to WP. I still had the spreadsheet (another indication that I had it right to start). I deleted the table, pasted the data back in and everything was fine.

  9. How does one sneak into a random pending post and disable links? For what we pay, WP should have a handle on this. This was probably payback for not filling out their survey…🙄
Maddie and bunny butt–both so cute.
You know, that server room looks just like my husband’s computer room at home. I go into Risk Mgmt mode and complain about the fire hazard with all those darn wires, but he assures me ‘they keep everything running.’ I wonder what would happen if I ‘accidentally’ unplugged one while vacuuming…? 🤨

    1. My links would disappear again. Don’t touch that 😏

I don’t know how over 20 links were disabled, but I know I didn’t do it.

We have an even littler bunny now!

      1. I figured it was at an air base. When I was a teenager, I lived near Mugu Air Force Base, and always went to the Blue Angels air show. It was a early event. That was back in the 7os.

  15. Excellent shots from behind!
Got another question for you for Lisa. She changed the way she inserts her photos to galleries but dang it… we still cannot see her whole caption. I told her there had to be something in her administrative set up but said I’d ask you if you do anything special. I tried it on my own and my captions show up (I added extra blah blah as a test) and when I click on the circled i, I see my whole spiel. Not her! What up?

    1. The only other thing I would check is to make sure she’s filling out the caption field and not the description. They both show up, but the act differently. I don’t know of any admin setup that would affect that. Of course, this is all based on the idea that she’s using a Classic Block or still using the Classic Editor.

      Liked by 1 person

      1. That’s what I was thinking…
And I think she’s on the block programme so I am limited in helping there as I am still on the Classic Editor… Thank you!
