Once again, I am coming in at the end of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. From Cee:

Let’s see what we can find in the archives.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  4. That Good Humor truck is the best desk jewelry ever! But how about that barn behind the not-speeding car? That’s a beauty. Then there’s Teagan’s car-and-diner combo. I’d say you have an eye for cars. I can’t figure out why cars from the 60s look so old, though.

    1. Thanks Maureen. At least in the 60s, cars from different brands looked different. Today, every car looks the same. I do like the Good Humor truck.

  5. I thought for sure that loaded down vehicle was yours. :-) I like the Coffee Good Humor truck. Happy Monday, Dan.

    1. That is my car, Judy. I’m not sure why the comment reads like that. I need to check and see what post it was associated with originally. Maybe I was trying to be funny.

Great collection of cars Dan. Glad that trip in the ambulance is just a memory now. Not a ride anyone wants to take! Oh! Boy! Running for the Good Humor truck! What a treat that was. David did a class job on the model car.

What I don’t understand is why the cars from the 60’s look soooo familiar to me! 🥴

    Happy Monday. Happy week.

    1. I think you’ve seen those cars in the movies, Ginger — that must be it ;-)

David is an excellent model builder. I have several models that he made for me.

I have many fond memories of running for the Good Humor truck.

I hope you have a nice week.

  10. Good memories with that Good Humor truck. The ‘not speeding’ car is such a great photo. Almost like reverse panning.
The postcard from Atonement is wonderful! Look at the fins on that car–I love it!

    1. The truck isn’t mine, but I love that photo! The post card was at one of our history museums. I remember eating at the diner before it closed, but not in such a cool car.

  12. And you were in the ambulance because…? When I saw the picture of Faith’s car my first thought was oh no…! But yes I saw the word staged and I realized, Whew. I love old cars. I don’t think I’ve ever driven in one. An oversight, of course.

    1. The ambulance trip was years ago, Pam. I took a tumble in the bathroom and cut my head. Even though it was staged, seeing her car like that still made me cringe.

  13. Love the photos, Dan. That is indeed a 1965 Ford Galaxy 500. I almost bought one in 65 but invested in an oil well instead. (It came up dry). The classic train was cool as was the Volvo wagon which looks to be a 1965 as well.

    1. Thanks for the confirmation, John. You remain my go-to source for classic car ID. Sorry about that oil well.

  19. Dan – you have had the very best adventures. Cars provide us with a sense of freedom, giving us the ability to explore new destinations and embark on exciting adventures. As Jack Kerouac reminds us: “Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road.”

  20. When I first saw the “staged” shot before realizing it was staged, my heart jumped to my throat. So glad that was just a training exercise.

I love the headlight/tail light streaks and the “slowest car ever.”
And that Good Humor truck made me smile. 😀

    1. I was at that training and that picture still makes me cringe.

I love catching the light streaks.

  22. Hi Dan – glad the ambulance was a temporary trip, as too reading about Faith’s car – must have been worrying for a while. Pity about the toy on your desk … it’d be good if it was real! Also love the light streaks … good selection – cheers Hilary

    1. Thanks Hilary. Faith’s car was hard to look at, even though it was staged. The toy is in a friend’s desk, but it does bring back memories.
