Sorry for the tease, this is all about shapes in nature, as asked for by Cee for her Fun Foto Challenge.

Every week, I tell myself I’ll give myself a break and pull some photos out of the archive for Cee’s challenge. Then I look at it and realize, “I don’t have anything tagged like that.” Then I have to think about the thousands of photos in the archive and try to remember what kind of photo would work. Rather than be frustrated, I kinda have to thank Cee for forcing the mental exercise.

OK, let’s see what we can find.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

You probably already know this, but I read somewhere that geese take turns leading the flock. These kinds of things interest me because I wonder how they work that out.

    1. I didn’t know that, Pete. Now I need to know more. Fascinating tidbit.

    2. I knew they take turns. The leader has the hardest job. Flying is easier for the guys toward the back. I do wonder how they decide who goes where.

  10. Beautiful collection, Dan. I especially love the rock formations. When I’m in Sedona, I’m in awe of the red rocks. Thanks for sharing! 😊

    1. I could have filled the gallery with those formations, Gwen. Twice while on business meetings I ended up hiking in the Garden of the Gods. It truly is amazing.

  11. You wound up with a great collection Dan. The “V” formation had me laughing! Love the leaves and ice formations. But those rock formations knock it out of the ball park. Caterpillar, bunny and funky cat…aren’t shadows amazing…like recognizing shapes in the clouds.

Hope your week is off to a good start.

    1. When I see those shapes in the shadows, Ginger, it always makes me smile. I have to laugh a bit when I see the geese out of formation. I wonder what’s going on up there.

The week ahead looks pretty good. I hope yours is, too.

PS, have you been getting my posts? Just curious because I’ve blogged a couple days in a row and it’s like they are going into a black hole. Crickets. That’s unusual but maybe I’m going into people’s junk mail. I’ve been finding some in mine, I know that!

      1. I did, and I will, but unfortunately came back to a busy week. My brother texted me today, asking if I have been on a bike ride, and in my head I was going “Arrrrrggghhh…no!” My response was a bit more kind and explanatory…lol.

  19. Personally, I can’t wait to see some icy leaves (though I suspect like most humans, I’ll find something to complain about them in due time). The relentless summer heat has me waving the white flag.

  20. Hi Dan – prompts always push me … and I belong to a reading group and have to find brief things to read about based on their prompts … both really challenge the old brain cells. I don’t like doing the norm – so am always on the search for a different take on life. These are a fun range of ‘au naturel’ images … I’m just glad we have a bit more summer here – we have had a half and half summer – a lot of rain and damp, yet early sun … now some sun towards Autumn. Cheers Hilary

  21. A dead leaf blew into my apartment today and I wonder where it came from. I am on the 5th floor and it was not on the balcony yesterday. Your leaves made me smile and wonder if my poor leaf had come from you! I know, I know not possible but . . . whimsy.
