Without going into a lot of detail–yes, this is Dan–I’m going to get straight to the one-liner Wednesday. I think you’ll understand.

“She was right.”

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s fun weekly series One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner, and would like to join in on the fun, you can follow this link to participate and to see the one-liners from the other participants.

When some of you stop laughing, I hope you will enjoy the photos in the gallery. We had two solid days of rain, followed by some brilliant sunny days.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  2. Lovely skies and nature. Our sun is shy. The kids in my daughter’s neighborhood had a blast trick or treating tonight. We left at 8:00 pm. They were still partying on the streets.

    1. I’m glad to hear the kids had a fun night.

      1. I just read about the age and time limits of trick or treating in some states. I don’t think people know about that.

  3. Beautiful tree silhouettes, and that little red maple is a giant in color. Your opening line got the LOL.

  5. Temps are dropping, nights are getting longer and squirrels are extra busy.
I’m sure there’s an interesting story to go along with your one liner. That’s a phrase I rarely hear around this house.

    1. Oh, no one heard it around this house ;-)

  6. I love the moon photo, so wispy and ethereal. And the squirrels, of course.

    1. I had a couple pictures of this moon, Liz, but that’s the one I liked.

  8. Being right is always comforting unless the rightness is ignored. Great shots. Our low here was 37. For us, that’s like below zero.

    1. 37 isn’t bad around here, John, but that does seem low for you in early November.

      1. Record lows. Going to 33 tonight.

    1. It’s a fairly common occurrence, Dale. I should be used to it by now.

      1. Hahaha! I’m sure it is more common than you like to admit ;-)

  10. That little maple is a beauty. A sincere pumpkin patch…I think this might be the year the Great Pumpkin finally makes Linus’s dream come true.

    1. The little maple is in a friend’s yard, and it has been growing very nicely these past few years. I’m pretty sure Linus was greeted by the Great Pumpkin last night. Seeds and peanuts for all the good little squirrels.

  11. Mom or The Editor? Nah, doesn’t matter they’re both always right! 😂
Love the sunrises you’ve been having, and oh, those orange leaves are gorgeous!

    1. The Editor. It happens (way more often than I care to say). The orange leaves seem to be the strongest color this year. They are pretty.

      1. Maybe due to all the rain you get rich oranges? 😀

        1. That could be. We had a lot of rain this year.

  24. I’m glad for the time change as it takes so long for it to be light outside to get out and walk before I have to come back to get to work. I’ll enjoy it for a month, as you say, then back to leaving later again. I was feeding a sweet Eastern Gray squirrel (Grady) a few years ago and he would try to get into the garage as soon as I opened the door to leave or when I came home … I had to yell at him, which I don’t like to do as I didn’t want to scare him, but I didn’t want to back out over him either. Finally, he would sit obediently on the porch to await his treat and an extra peanut for cooperating. At the Park the other day, a gray squirrel had a huge strawberry. A walker must have brought it because those squirrels never stray out of the Park to the neighborhood. I got a picture of him with it – what a prize!
