Welcome to Thursday Doors! This is a weekly challenge for people who love doors and architecture to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos, drawings, or other images or stories from around the world. If you’d like to join us, simply create your own Thursday Doors post each (or any) week and then share a link to your post in the comments below, anytime between 12:01 am Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time). If you like, you can add our badge to your post.

Today’s gallery is also from the street where my barber is located. It’s the only street I’ve found in Hartford where there seems to be a concerted effort to introduce some street art. Utility boxes on other streets have been tagged, but no artwork. I will keep looking to see if this has moved into other areas.

I’m going to let the photos speak for themselves (yes, that means I’m done talking). Oh, one more thing, please check out some of the doors linked to from the other participants.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  10. Thank you Dan for posting these utility boxes. These painted boxes are fabulous, and what I particularly like about these ones is that they don’t appear to be curated commissions, because the quality of artwork on some is quite raw. For me, this is a close to perfect post.

    1. I knew you would like this collection, Steve. These all seem relatively new, and I saw nothing in the news about it being encouraged by the city. I took a couple pictures in the spring, but I was waiting to combine them with others as I found them. It was only in September that I realized there might be enough to post from this one street.
