Not that I’m ever here at the early end of this challenge, but I’m not normally this late. I like to schedule these posts for just after midnight. Oops.

This week our topic is Things that are Wet. Please feel free to use either new or archived photos for this challenge.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  1. It seems lately that Wet ‘R Us should be our theme Dan! Faith sure knows how to get the perfect photo! Bravo! The Rise of Sharon are just as beautiful when wet, and I love that shot of the terns….having a convention maybe. The last picture of Old Glory is a beauty.

    1. We certainly have been wet, Ginger. These are from the archive, but I’ve added a ton of wet subjects this year. Faith does work harder at getting the look she wants than I do.

  3. Great bathing shot!
But you’d better get some bunny beverages ready before they start nibbling your hose…

    1. We have several small, low planter saucers with water. We’ve seen the bunnies drinking from them. We keep them clean and full.

After two windy but dry days this morning then rain was back! 😔 💜

  7. Lovely images. I appreciate that Faith goes a little extra for that better shot. I do a lot of low-angle shots but differently. I think those birds are Royal Terns.

    1. I know they are some type of Tern, Sharukh. If you say Royal,. I’ll go with that.

  9. Whatever those birds are on the beach, they seem to be focused on the one taking off over the waves (gorgeous water, by the way). I can’t tell if they’re thinking thoughts of fond farewell or good riddance. The bathing robin is a great capture, but robins never stop with the grumps — that’s some side-eye he’s giving the photographer. The flag in the fog is wonderful; I even love the power lines through the trees in this image. A good Monday beginning — thank you!

    1. Thanks Maureen. “Master Robin” – that’s what we call him – probably was complaining about a low water level. Sometimes, he walks around the outside but won’t bath until we go clean and fill it. When we go out with the bucket, he sits in the lilacs until we’re done.

Those Terns swoop in and back off the sand with the waves. I always liked seeing them.

I’m glad you liked the flag. The fog added a nice atmosphere.

  11. The flag is lovely in that light, and all the drops are beautiful.

I thought the the Terns were Elegant Terns but, looking in my book you don’t have those there they’re on the west coast. Sharukh is right they’re Royal Terns we don’t have those on the west coast. Interesting I thought.

    1. That is interesting. I’d never hear of Elegant Terns. I wonder if there are lowly common Terns, or if they all have stately names

      1. There are Common and Least Terns both I think you might have as they’re East Coast as well.

  13. I love the header photo, Dan. We have a mini Christmas tree we’re “raising” on our patio, and we recently put its pot on a big plastic plate to hold excess water as it travels out the pot. Several days back, a bird decided the excess water would serve it well as both a drinking fountain and bath option. So now, we look out the window on occasion and there’s a bird splashing about under the tree. It may be a robin…perhaps we’ll have to name ours. 🙂 Faith showed true dedication in getting that one shot!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. You also have to keep the plate clean and full. Once they stake their claim, the water rights are transferred from you to them. I think that’s how it works.

Faith works hard to get the photo she wants.

  14. Rainy days are beautiful from the inside looking out but these pics kind of make one want to get out there. Love the Rose of Sharon and all of the terns in the wet sand. Well done Dan.

    1. Seeing those terns was one of the things I enjoyed about business meetings in Florida. Many of these photos were taken when we still had Maddie with us. Maddie had some serious issues, and would not go anywhere without one of us with her. So, we were out in the rain whenever she had to “go.”

      1. My dog Tide was a bundle of anxieties and wouldn’t do or go anywhere without us. He also wouldn’t eat or drink when left alone , hated rain so we had to open the garage door and let him go right there in the grass . So strange. Loved the pics Dan.

    1. Thanks Cee. That’s “Master Robin” – he lets us know when the bath is dirty or low. He paces around. After we clean/fill, he takes his bath, and I usually have to fill it again.

    1. Thanks. Changing the tire was a good lesson. The wet stuff has become pretty common around here. We’re not complaining, as we’ve experienced the other extreme. I hope you get wet soon.

  31. We have had an overabundance of rain every day, then two days of very blustery winds. I felt like I had gone through the car wash! The bunny asks so little – hope wet grass was good for its digestion. I saw a large bunny at the Park today and it was enjoying dandelions.
