Cee announced on Tuesday that she felt good enough to begin her Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge again. Normally, I slip in at the end of he challenge week and pick a bunch of photos out of the archive. That didn’t seem good enough this week. All the photos in the gallery are new. I wanted to welcome Cee back with some fresh flowers.

The challenge this week was: “A Single Flower” — I did my best, but some are a single bunch of flowers.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  3. What beauties! “Say it with flowers” always works! I note also a lot of happy pollinators photobombing; I think I can hear the buzz. I love the photo of the wildflower; those little white flowers or seeds (I can’t tell) look like sparkles around it. A lovely way to start the last week of August!

    1. The bees have been sleeping in the pumpkin blossoms. I’m trying to imagine the comfort level. I think I could handle that. The wildflower is from some seeds our daughter gave my wife last summer. A few came back. It’s a nice bright little corner.

    1. I’ll have to try and include the whole plant later this week. The blossoms looked like large puff balls. I’d never seen anything like it.

  7. All very pretty Dan. My honeysuckle is sort of orange pink. Maybe I’ll try getting a picture.

    1. Thanks Cheryl. Our honeysuckle used to only bloom in the spring. The past few years, it’s been blooming a second time.

      1. Mine seems to be losing leaves and dying at the base but still growing and flowering? Any advice?

        1. The base of ours is decades old, and looks it. We have only ever had growth from about 3′ up. But it’s tall and spreading. It has taken over about 20′ of fence and looks like it’s turning the corner.

  8. Awesome response to the prompt Dan. I think you gave Cee a fitting welcome back.

I have never heard of the Star of Persia, but it is a stunning plant. Clearly your bees love the pumpkin blossoms, Milkweed and Rose of Sharon. I don’t blame them!

Happy Monday Dan. Hope this last week of August is a smooth one for you. Wait! What? LAST WEEK OF AUGUST!! Wasn’t August 1st just two days ago? :+)

    1. It is hard to believe this is the end of August, Ginger. The bees are all still active, wherever they can find a blossom. They’ve been sleeping in the pumpkin blossoms – how cool would that be?

I’ll post a larger photo of the star of persia. By the way, that’s just what my phone says it is.

I hope you have a great week ahead.
