Welcome to another week of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge which I am combining with Linda G. Hill’s Just-Jot-It-January. You don’t have to join JusJoJan, but if you want to, the prompt for today (Monday only) is Embrace. It comes to us via Laura at The DV Walking Wounded. Check it our, it’s a pretty interesting, perhaps necessary blog.

As for the numbers, thing, when I took over Cee’s challenge, the prompt “The Numbers Game” was in the list. I wasn’t sure what that meant, so I started imagining ways to incorporate numbers as a prompt without making it difficult. One of the things I always loved about this challenge is that it wasn’t a high school scavenger hunt designed to frustrate people. It was designed so people could have fun sharing photos. So, I’ve added a couple variations. We’ll be playing with numbers for the next few weeks. You can always look ahead at the CFFC Page, which you can always find on the menu (upper left).

For this week, I’m going with the following:

The Numbers Game: Show us photos with a number of similar things. Two things, three things, four things, (n) things, and, although infinity isn’t a number, you can include photos that suggests an infinite number of things.

As always – Have Fun!

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  1. You’re right, Dan. Don’t think too hard on the prompts. Go with the instinct. I like the numbers.

  4. You had me confused Dan. I think Cee had shelved that prompt a while ago

Today Judy put out her regular Numbers Game prompt.

    1. The prompt was in the “Upcoming” list I found on Cee’s page. I wasn’t sure what the idea was. I know she was planning to combine CFFC with other prompts for a series. Perhaps this was one of those. I have one prompt – like what Judy does – scheduled. Maybe I’ll try to combine them or drop that one from the list. I wasn’t planning to specify a number for that prompt. Thanks for the comment and reference, Brian. I’ll get this challenge sorted out sooner or later.

      1. I think the old numbers prompt was one of the B&W Challenges rather than a CFFC. I just had a look through my old posts and that’s what turned up.
Just go with random ideas Dan. That’s what I do for my Ragtag prompts

  6. Good job on Embrace the Numbers. I especially like the turtles. I just love seeing them all on a log sunbathing. Birds, footprints, icicles, cranes and more, all in multiples.

The Memorial Flag Garden at Sturbridge is sobering, to say the least. Here, I would say, sadly, too many numbers!

    Happy Monday Dan.

    1. Thanks Ginger. There are too many flags at Sturbridge, but they all stand for someone.

I had to include the turtles. I love seeing them climb up on the logs in the canal.

When I see all the bird prints, I think I should put some little shovels out there and maybe they could keep the driveway clear.

I hope you enjoy a couple warm(er) days.

  8. The Turkey’s and Turtles made me smile. That was fun. You had a great variety of things to share for numbers.

    1. I love seeing the turtles. The turkeys did stop us. They walk across the road, sometimes in large numbers. One time, one came up to my wife’s driver’s side window. They’re big enough to get their way.

  9. Your approach and variety made me smile. My mood suddenly changed at the end, but it was a fitting ending because numbers fit all aspects of life.

    1. Thanks Frank. I like to end with a flag photo when I have one. This seemed appropriate.

  10. Donuts!!! We have Parlor Doughnuts here in town and over in Alabama that I love. Health goes out the window when eating those, but I love them.

The turkeys! What a great photo. I could sit and watch them all day.

    1. Thanks Lois. There have to be things in life that push our concern about health aside. Donuts and cupcakes do it for me. The turkeys cross the road just across the highway from us. You have no choice but to stop.

  12. If I have to pick a favourite, it’s the beer samplers and the turkeys (no free ranging and roaming turkeys here). So I took my inspiration from you: drank the beer and looked for bird pics.

    1. The sample “flights”: are much better than trying every beer on the menu. The turkeys live in woods about 2 miles from our house. They stop traffic often.

      1. We have restaurants (usually the ones associated with a brewery) where you can get samplers. I like them a lot.

  14. Outstanding numbers, Dan. I loved the memorial flag garden as well as your three sisters and crane shots.

    1. The three sisters always amaze me, John. I know lots of cities have similar style bridges, but having these on almost consecutive streets is pretty cool. The flag garden is something we always stop to see. This year we will be sponsoring a flag for my father and father-in-law.
