We had a nice dose of snow, followed by freezing rain then rain on Sunday. The mess left behind was heavy. I moved the snow before it started raining. The rain covered everything and then froze. It hasn’t been above freezing since.
I normally have cranberry pecan toast with breakfast. All the birds love the leftovers when I open a new loaf. Sometimes, the store doesn’t have that, and I revert to my old standard, sourdough. If you look closely in the featured photo, you’ll see two crows toward the upper left and center. That’s because:
“Hang on there starlings. I get the first few pieces of sourdough.”
Slow Joe Crow for One-liner Wednesday
Whenever we toss out sourdough pieces, the crows show up first to claim their portion. I don’t know how they know, but they do.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.
