We’re still in a series where we feature photos that have one primary color and a significant but less dominant color. We started with black, we moved to red and this week, we move onto Blue. If you want to see where we are going from here, check the CFFC home page.

So, this week, photos where blue is a dominant color relative to a different color. Blue doesn’t have to be the dominant color in the photo. If you look at my featured photo, you’ll see lots of other colors besides blue and white colors on the blue jay.

Also, you don’t have to stick with one combination. As long as, the photo includes blue in a position of dominance over another color. Now let’s see if I can find some good examples.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  2. Some impressive blues there! Not to mention the captures of squirrel and jay — that wingspread is beautiful. I had to laugh at the “discussion” between the jay and the flicker; something tells me that was not a friendly one!

    1. I’m glad yo enjoyed these. Both birds like to eat the peanuts. There were enough for everyone, but I’m not sure that’s how they saw it. Every now and then, I manage to get the blue jays taking off. They are beautiful.

    1. My good friend David is one of the inspirations for the character David, and he graciously offered his name, as long as it’s never shortened in any way. You have a good eye and a clever mind to pick up on the slush – have a great week, Brian.

  6. Great gallery highlighting blue. The Bluejay and Flicker are having quite a conversation. Would love to eavesdrop on it!

Haha, it does look like a sandwich on the car wash sign!

The last photo of the squirrel holding his prize peanut is awesome.

Hope you enjoy sunshine and a blue sky today.

    1. Thanks Ginger. The blue jays and the flickers both enjoy peanuts. The blue jays pick them up and seem to weigh them so they can take the biggest one.

Watching the squirrels enjoy their snacks is always fun, but that tree was taken down. They loved that little stub of a branch.

Warmer today, and for a few days. I hope we get some nice easy melting, and I hope yo have a great week.

Love all the shades of blue you captured in your excellent gallery offering Dan. Quite a range of ideas from which to choose. I love the trains so I must mention the great photo of the Metroliner train.

The critters of course always steal the show for me. Love the squirrel enjoying a secluded spot of lunch on a branch. And the little “discussion” between the birds (blue jay and flicker).

Great share Dan. I enjoyed all the photos. Thank you for the inspiration. I will see what I can find in my archives…

    1. That’s wonderful. Some of the ones around here will take a peanut and run, but some sit and eat. Last fall, we cut open and gave them the pumpkins that grew from one squirrel burying raw pumpkin seeds in the spring. They loved sitting and digging through the pumpkin pieces.
