We’re wrapping up our series where we feature photos that have one primary color and a significant but less dominant color. We started with black, we moved to red and blue, and we finish with green. If you want to see where we are going from here, check the CFFC home page.

So, this week, photos where green is a dominant color relative to a different color. Green doesn’t have to be the dominant color in the photo. If you look at my featured photo, you’ll see lots of other colors besides green and yellow colors on the locomotive.

Also, you don’t have to stick with one combination. As long as, the photo includes green in a position of dominance over another color. Now let’s see if I can find some good examples.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  3. The smell must put them off! (the bunnies) Lots of greens in nature, Dan, but steam trains came in some handsome shades too. Have a good week- hope you can get out a bit?

    1. Thanks Jo. I was able to walk five days last week. It was 8°f (-13°c) today when I got up. I am normally getting ready to walk right now (7:15) but not today. It is supposed to get warmer, and we will soon be seeing early greens. After the harsh winter we’ve had, I won’t mind the bunny nibbling on some fresh shoots.

  4. These are all great greens. I really like that arched doorway. I do love the architecture of that period. Naturally I like the locomotive and the tram as well.

    1. I knew I had a green locomotive. Of course, I had a train in all four colors. I’m glad you liked those doors. I can imagine workers going through them every morning.

  5. It’s so good to see the green! It’s a color much missed right now. The green locomotive is majestic, but I especially love the green door in what looks like a white church. And now, alas, I have “Green Door” stuck in my head. That one could be before your time, but, take my word for it, it’s one that won’t go away once it starts. Tadpole and Frog playgrounds? Brilliant!

    1. Is that Green Door by Shakin’ Stevens? I had to look it up, but I can see how that can get stuck in your head. We’re starting to see signs of green. I’m sure the bunnies will be happy, and I’ll try to understand when they eat the tulips (those are still under snow cover).

      1. I can’t remember anything about who sang it, but I sure remember the tune and a few lyrics. It seems to me that you once posted a glorious red tulip bud that overnight became a shredded stem. I’d shed tears.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. The red tulips disappear as quickly as they open. Oddly enough, they didn’t eat any yellow ones last year. I planted and assortment of bulbs around a new bush in the front yard. Who knows what will come up (and be eaten).

This is the song I found. I’ve listened to it three times this morning – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbCpi0Le8Qo

          1. Whoa! Yes, that’s the song but not the version I used to hear on the radio! This one takes me back to sock-hops whereas the other one would take me back to our kitchen with my mother’s ironing board! Thanks for adding (again) to my education. As for rabbits, they like to keep us wondering.

            Liked by 1 person

            1. I can see (hear) the attraction to the song.

          2. Now you’ve got me wondering. I asked Google. Maybe it was Jim Lowe’s version in our kitchen. If it had been Shakin’ Stevens, we’d have scorched the undershirts. (And, yes, underwear was ironed!)

            Liked by 1 person

            1. Haha – I posted the link in reply to Lois’ comment. That would be safer for ironing the underwear.

Good collection of greens Dan. Love that white church with the bold green doors, and the bunny sitting in the field of green.

The Tadpole Playground arch is a real eye-catcher as is the baseball diamond.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing more green outside as spring settles in to make way for summer.

Hope this week you get some walks in, but apparently not Wednesday! Have a great week.

    1. I got five walks in last week, Ginger. I was hoping to get at least that many this week but it felt like 2° this morning. After reading your comment I looked at the weather for the week. Wednesday says: “Rain Likely then Rain.”

I know the bunny is waiting for that field of green to return. It’s mostly weeds, but they are to his liking.

Stay warm and dry. I think spring is on the march.

I am still trying to work out the instructions with green the dominant colour but it doesn’t have to be the dominant colour in the photo although it should include green in a position of dominance over another colour. 🤔

I’ll just post green stuff I reckon 😂

    1. Green wasn’t the best color for this series, Brian. I didn’t realize that I’d find so many photos with grass or trees in the background. Even my featured photo has those green hills in the back. Oh well, I’m still riding on “I’m new here” – future prompts will be less complicated.

The best example I have in the gallery is the TAM restaurant. The green and white awning isn’t a prominent part of the photo, but green outweighs the white – yeah, I made this series too complicated.

      Liked by 1 person

      1. It’s hard doing prompts without being too specific or overly general.
Like green trains maybe wouldn’t get many responses but green things on wheels will.

The main thing is you are taking time to do them and mostly I’ve found people will do whatever they want within a general framework 😂

Bunny doesn’t like hyacinths? Those little guy are so cute, but I think I would cry to see the tulips gone before I could even appreciate them.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. The bunnies didn’t eat the hyacinths last year, but they have eaten them in the past. They absolutely love what so many people call weeds, and our yard will fill with them. They will eat the spring flowers, if the chipmunks haven’t eaten the bulbs.

I planted some tulip bulbs last fall and was hesitant bexause I know they are decadent to some rodents – and that is why I stopped planting them years ago – amyhow, they did not survive the winter – but the daffodils and some other white flowers are thriving – and I liked your plethora of rose of sharon plants – oh my!

I have two rose of sharons that are holding their own – but wow – you have so many starters
