We’re starting a new series this week, focusing on food. This If you want to see where we are going from here, check the CFFC home page.

We are looking for photos that suggest breakfast. Breakfast itself, breakfast being prepared, the possibility of breakfast in the near future. Anything that makes you think of breakfast. As for my featured image, I’ve been having breakfast there with my best friend for almost forty years.

All five of my current books are now available in audio book form thanks to Amazon KDP’s Virtual Voice process. The voice is AI generated, but I can honestly say, it’s pretty darn good. The audio books are reasonably priced (all below $7 US) and, if you already own the Kindle version and want to add an audio version, you can do that for $1.99. There is a five-minute sample on the book page for each book. If you’re interested, click on any of the Dreamer’s Alliance book links below the image or on the link below for my latest book.

  2. Yeah , breakfast ! Ada and I don’t eat breakfast nowadays . I’m thinking , though , of taking a second mortgage to have some eggs and bacon for a good old-fashioned American breakfast . Well , just a pipe dream !

  5. I love breakfast! I’m always mystified by no-breakfast people — how do they make it to lunch? Your breakfast photos show what breakfast is about, and if you can eat it with a friend, it’s even better!

    1. I normally have something simple and boring, but when I’m in the area, I stop at this place. I have a second place on the other side of the river, and a local place in town. I think I have a breakfast place in every city I’ve been to :-)

Hahaha! I’m laughing at Maureen’s duplicate post script. WP has a twisted sense of humor!

Breakfast starts my day off right. I don’t eat one quite as hearty as yours, but I never skip breakfast.

Forty years in one place sharing breakfast with your friend. Makes the price of eggs worth it!

    Have a great week.

    1. That was a neat trick by WordPress, wasn’t it?

There are some things that are “price insensitive” (I think I learned that term in Economics) – this is such a place. I don’t eat like this often, but when I can, I don’t resist.

      Have a great week, Ginger!

    Except that lovely bunny.

    1. There are places that serve breakfast 24-hours a day. Some have a liquor license. Add a mojito to any of those pictures.

I hope to be seeing those bunnies munching on my walks pretty soon.

  12. I was stuck with having breakfast with a friend for 40 years. What a wonderful feeling that must be. Terrific photos, Dan. I’m guessing the City Jack’s Cafe photo is of a scrambled egg and ham English muffin. Am I right? I love eating breakfast out.

  13. Our best breakfast place in town–good and inexpensive–was bought out by some seafood place, then closed down and became an antique place. Now it is a Mediterranean-style restaurant. I miss the old breakfast place so much.

    1. That’s awful, Lois. We have some concerns about this place. One of the owners passed away last year. His partner is continuing, but I don’t think he’s in the best of health.

      1. This place had been around forever, Dan. What made it worse was the seafood place that bought it (and closed it) also closed down. Just a very few places left that aren’t expensive or aren’t IHOP!

  40. Your breakfast makes me hungry, Dan! We don’t go out for breakfast too often because my husband limits his carb intake. He checks his blood sugar twice a day. We eat the same things every morning but I sometimes add cereal especially granola for myself.

I used to participate in almost all of Cee’s photo challenges, CFFC was one of them. Life was not as busy then.
