Willow Willers and I have been hinting for a week or two about the book that we will release in early June. I have to tell you, we’ve been working on this book for 12 months (that sounds more impressive to me than 1 year) and we are getting close to the finish line. Today, we have something tangible to offer.

Teagan R. Geneviene has been a go-to resource of mine for longer than the six years I’ve been writing books. I create my covers myself, but I always run them past Teagan for her thoughts. I’m headstrong, but she makes her opinions known and I appreciate that. It seemed fair to ask her to handle the Cover Reveal for us. So, if you’d like to see that, head on over to Teagan’s place. The link will open in a new window, I’ll wait for you to return.

We have some posts scheduled during the next few weeks to share more information about this book. Since the book is a mystery, we won’t be sharing many excerpts—most would include spoilers for people reading the book (which I hope includes you). Instead, we will be offering some insight into the story behind the story. How Willow and I, separated by five hours and over three thousand miles, managed to bring this book to the shelves.

But this is a One-Liner Wednesday, so:

For One-Liner Wednesday by Linda G. Hill

It’s been raining here since, I don’t know, seems like ever. But the grass, flowers and trees seem to like it. I hope you enjoy the photos in the gallery.

  3. Just a bit of rain, Dan? Bring on sunshine! I love that first shot (I had to look at it twice). I completely fail to understand how 2 people can write a book, but I’ve never been good at collaborating. I shall watch with interest xx

    1. They say Sunday will be a sunny day, Jo. That’s a long way off, but there’s no sense complaining. I wasn’t sure Willow and I could make this work, but it’s like we were both following a script. Everything just fell into place. We will be sharing some of those details over the next few weeks.

    2. Hi Jo, I had no idea who this would work being on different continents and 5hours time difference! Also never having collaborated before I was nervous at first but I can honestly say …it almost fell into place immediately! It was and is a pleasure. 😀

  4. That is an awesome cover. Congratulations to you and Willow! I completely agree with your one-liner. Without the help of others, I would not have published any books.

It’s been nonstop rain here as well. I need to go out and clean garden beds, but can’t. The weeds are winning.

CONGRATULATIONS on your book collaboration with Willow. You couldn’t have picked a better partner because Willow just overflows with ideas. Great cover too!

I can’t get enough of seeing that little sweetie peeking out of her window in the tree! Sidewalk art…yaayyyy! Maddie’s favorite puddle tugs at my heart. 😢

The Dogwood tree is just gorgeous. One of my favorites.

Love the reflection of Old Glory in the puddle.

I know we needed rain, but there’s been so much even I feel soggy! I love it when my flowers are growing like weeds, but now the damn weeds are growing like weeds and this is not good! :+)

    Have a happy Wednesday Dan.

    1. Thanks Ginger. Willow’s ideas have been spot on since the very first poem. I couldn’t be happier.

That little squirrel seems to know when I’m coming and that all she has to do is pop her head out and I’ll drop the peanuts I’m carrying. She’s so darn cute.

Maddie’s puddle is hard to visit. She just loved standing there and was so happy when I would agree to take her across to that park.

We have sunshine right now, but we’re stuck inside waiting for a repairman. It’s the way things go sometimes. Our weeds are growing, but the bunnies like eating them so I guess it’s OK.

  14. I’m back! What a great cover that is! I am so happy and excited for you and Willow, Dan. And to Teagan for the group effort. It is wonderful.

Tree dash?! Oh, how sweet. We have squirrels that sit on our retaining wall at night and eat the seeds from one of our trees. But they sit right on the wall facing the windows where my cats sit and make all kinds of noises at them. When it gets to be too much, the squirrels turn their back and swish their tails. Cracks me up every time!

I love your lily of the valley. Several years ago, I had a lily of the valley shrub in my backyard. Sadly, something happened to it and it slowly died. Yours are beautiful.

    1. I’m gld you like the cover, Lois. Willow and I re getting excited about this project coming to fruition.Teagan has been helping me forever – I can’t thank her enough.

My wife loves the Lily of the Valley plants. When I built the ramp, I transplanted about 2 dozen of them, fully expecting them to die. They survived, and they are marching around the house like they’re on a mission.

Our squirrels used to taunt the cats. They know they’re safe outside. MuMu used to stand on hr shelf and smack the windows.

      Liked by 2 people

      1. haha! Oh, MuMu… White Paws makes this little chattering noise at them and Nugget slinks down real low like she’s stalking them. The squirrels continue munching.
