Since returning from a week in Iowa, things around here have been a little crazy. I’ve been preparing the book Willow Willers and I have been working on, for it’s upcoming release. At the same time, I’ve been working on some short stories for the Thursday Doors Writing Challenge (TDWC). I might add that we now have 58 creative entries in response to that challenge, and they are all very good.
I might add—I know, I said that—I have reformatted the TDWC summary page. I’ve added a column to indicate the type of each entry, and I changed the column indicating the photo that was used to include a thumbnail image of that photo. I should add—I know, I know—that this wasn’t an easy task. I like the results, and I learned a lot, but you know those are code expressions for this was a task I underestimated. Thus my one-liner:
Why is it we have a tendency to add a near impossible task to our list when we are most busy?
One-Liner Wednesday by Linda G. Hill
I will have another post today. Willow and I have been invited to Colleen Chesebro’s blog to answer a few more questions about our soon-to-be-released novel, Poetic Justice. In the meantime, enjoy a few photos from around town.
PS, if you’re wondering what happened to the flag at Veterans Park, here’s the scoop. A local Boy Scout, working on his Eagle Scout project, had the trees removed and is adding onto the memorial. He is pouring a large concrete pad, on which he will install a marker for all branches of the armed services.
